I like the anonymity feature (a lot!) but it might be hard to tell who is talking .... uh, ... duh.... Yeah, I know that's the point, but it would be nice to know things like how many different people are in a convo and which anonymous entities are involved in a dialog. Without increasing the risk of reidentification, maybe we could do some really rough IP geolocation or something and use the general area that a post originated from as the pseudomyn. Just a thought.... but just maybe cap it at the nation/state level to really preseve anonymity while still putting some sort of names to the voices. That might be too invasive.... Maybe feed the IP through a crypto hash function and seed a random word generator with it.

I can add an algorithm to scramble IP addresses to some unique ID and go by that; maybe numerical to alpha. No handles or logins here.

Response to a 2nd tier comment: There is an input box specifically for links. Sharing too many links could invite by enabling spam bots that circumvent captchas. Editing capability is session based. If you come back later or clear cookies, editing / deleting is disabled.
About to work out a bug in 3rd tier comments resulting in server error.

I am testing a new code base that will be pushed here soon as an answer to this request for anon identity handles. How it will work is that a hash key is generated per IP address and produces an alpha-numeric handle so that handle will show up each time a person posts here from that same IP. Different IP means different HASH key so another HASH IP cannot be used to de-crypt others. If everything works as planned this request should be implemented by the end of the day. Also time stamps will display on client side time-zones, for clarity purposes. Other features and fixes will be implemented and documented in a new changelog. Thank you again for your valued input.

Dammit! I had to look up the meaning of CASM and now google has a record of me searching for it! I hope I don't start getting creepy ad now!

You could be using something like duckduckgo and duck on your searches!

The color scheme hurts my eyes and it difficult to read, or maybe I'm just handicapped by red-green colrblindness, in which case it's somewhat inaccessible.

I mean, I get the brown hat thing but a bit more contrast would be nice.

This website talks about checking a site's color scheme for colorblind-accessibility:

Website URLs aren't automatically turned into clickable links. Is there a disign/security reason for that?
EDIT: Oh! That's what the Optional link box is for! It works and so does the Edit button!

Thank you. I will evaluate colors better later. So far I have a score of 71% compliance with the new brown text.
Posted by BOChC7DJ on 2025-05-04 02:13:02
Website should now be compliant.

Should be resolved, now! Changed text to bold and brown. From a distance looks like brown spots on my screen.

On mobile devices still shows colors non-compliant. Will fix that soon!

Both mobile and desktop views now should be compliant.

That would enable comments like, "Indiana Prairiedog has a good point but Canadian Snowleopard's arguement is still valid." It'll be hard to reference specific posts if they're all completely anonymous.

Each post and comment has specific a link / anchor, so referencing can be linked using the link box. However the other person would not know unless they read your original post that you referring to their post/comment. This is an interesting experiment. Thank you for your input.

Visitors now have handles unique to a HASH key on their IP.
